My focus is on screenplays and teleplays, primarily comedic and dramedy. (It was comedy, along with lyric writing, that enabled me to make a reasonably comfortable living for two decades.) I'm currently developing a comedic pilot and a farcical screenplay, and plan to soon revise another comedy pilot and two mildly dramatic screenplays.
Almost everything I read is somehow related to the performance arts industry.
None whom I can pinpoint currently, as most fictitious material I read are screenplays/teleplays, and the "authors" there are numerous for each title. In the past, I enjoyed Vonnegut, Michener, Hemingway, Steinbeck, Fitzgerald, Dostoyevsky, a little Dickens ... the usual.
Hi all. I first got into writing when I discovered my students paid more attention to me as a writer than as their teacher. I freelanced full-time for 20+ years, mostly corporate marketing videos, won the usual awards. Now I write what I want.
Good group. Everyone was attentive to each other and no egos got in the way (except a little bit for me).
