Introduction

Hello there. I write in the genres of Contemporary Fiction, Science Fiction, Supernatural Mystery and Young Adult Novel. I hope you learn more about me as we meet through the Albuquerque Inks Slingers events.

What do you write?

December, 2011 my first novel in Contemporary Fiction, "The Napkin Manuscript: Involvement - Volume I" released. "The Napkin Manuscript: Involvement - Volume II followed in January 2012. These novels are the first in a series focusing on Fatherhood and Family Values to include Involvement, Consistency, Awareness and to Nurture. Released April 2012 is my first Science Fiction novel entitled "ANNT: Axiom". ANNT takes place in a realistic near future, where "Adaptable Neo-Nature Technology" and "Ald Nature" compete for the essential role as "Default Nature Provider...". Find these works on Amazon: Search "G. Mitchell Baker". "Lethal Believers: Paedo", is screenplay I wrote (Copyright G. Mitchell Baker) in the Paranormal Mystery genre. Presently adapting to novel format ... with "D.V.M." and "Procession" to follow, this series pits a retired INTERPOL officer and Paederast hunter against the most mystic, persistent of organizations bent on exacting lethal, supernatural revenge.

What do you like to read?

I do a lot of research, so my range of interests is across the board. For pleasure, I usually find myself reading material that will give me insight for some topic of interest. For example, I just finished a read about the Secret Service. I am starting a book entitled "Invasion" with material that takes a hard look at the circumstances of open immigration policies post 9/11... El Narco... was an exceptional read that I like from a contemporary, geopolitical viewpoint. I just picked up a book about Synesthesia from Page One and otherwise usually have about three books going at the same time... the other two right now include a the "Bill James" History of Baseball and, a history of the current history of the William Morris Talent Agency.

Who are your favorite authors?

For non-fiction I like Ronald Kessler's work and, have followed it... For fiction there is a local, Native American Author named Joanie Woodruff. She creates wonderful stories in novel length and I do appreciate her work. For Science Fiction I really like Richard Matheson. Perhaps one of the best upcoming authors in Fantasy/Romance is Denyse Bridger... this Best Selling Canadian Author really has it together ... So many to mention ...
