Introduction
Hi there I'm Emily; Tech writer by day, fiction writer by night. Tired of saying I am a writer but not sharing my writing with anyone. Turns out a crippling fear of having others read your writing isn't the best path to becoming an author. Who knew?
What do you write?
I like to write fun stuff. Fiction - "nachos for the brain." Sort of a hybrid between Romance, action, and scifi. Romaction-Fi...is that a thing? I am working on a novel and blog in my free time about the obstacles in writing/jogging.
What do you like to read?
They say you write what you read and that is true for me. I like series: Harry Potter, Sookie Stackhouse, Stephanie Plum, etc. I also enjoy some memoirs, and essayists. If it makes me laugh and cry but ultimately makes me feel warm and fuzzy, then I usually like it.
Who are your favorite authors?
Oie, this is always a hard question for me...seems like so much pressure... Mark Twain, George Saunders, Jen Lancaster, Charlaine Harris, JK Rowling...I am sure I am forgetting some key ones here....
