Several of us are here on Easter with no plans and were discussing doing an Easter Brunch, so here it is!
Easter brunch buffet at Topolino in Camp Springs, MD (near Andrews AFB, just off of MD Route 5). This is about 20-30 mins from Alexandria just across the Wilson Bridge on OLD BRANCH Ave. (NOT Branch Ave.)
The brunch buffet features:
bread, soup, salad, Italian dishes such as manicotti, lasagna and spaghetti. Delicious brick oven pizza too. There are typically some seafood selections including boiled shrimp and fish or mussels. Breakfast fare includes waffles, made to order omelettes and sometimes Eggs Benedict. On Sundays there is roasted lamb. There are a few desserts - chocolate cake, carrot cake. Buffet price is $16.99 per person - drinks are not included in this price. If you do not want the buffet there is a full menu available (link to website with menu below.) The restaurant has a full bar along with a wine list that changes up often enough to keep it interesting. I've been eating at this restaurant for 10 years and have never been disappointed with the food. The service can sometimes be a bit spotty - especially when it gets busy. There is free parking in a private lot on the restaurant property. Dress runs the gamut from shorts/jeans/tshirt to your Sunday best, so dress as you please.
*The yelp review page has a good video that shows the buffet.
This restaurant gets crowded and noisy on Sundays after church gets out. I suggest we plan to get there by 11:30, wait for members of our group, then go in promptly at noon. I'll be out front with a 'Brunch Meetup' sign.
In the past the restaurant required that all members of a party were present before being seated; therefore we may not be able to hold a seat for late arrivals. I will leave my name with the Hostess after we are seated.
===> Whoever is there at noon is the number we go in with and get a table for. Each person responsible for his/her own tab. <===
Hope to see you there! Ciao!
