Here's a well-reviewed return production of a drama that sold out last year. It is a modern adaptation of Anton Chekhov’s "The Seagull." For August 3rd, all seats are discounted by two-thirds at $20. There is also a $8 ticket service charge.
We’ll head first to Oyamel’s just around the corner around 5:30 for food or drinks, or just come and socialize. Then we’ll head over to the theatre by 6:45.
Here’s a quote from the reviews: “In scope of ambition, wit, insight, power of observation, beauty of language and quality of execution, it is as good as anything you’ve seen in Washington this season.”
Try to get your seat/s in the front, orchestra area before the best seats are sold out. But the group won't be able to sit together. Get your tickets here, and they add $8 service charge: http://ticketing.woollymammoth.net/single/PSDetail.aspx?psn=2985.
Make sure to order tickets for the 7pm performance, on 8/3, not the afternoon performance. This event is cross-posted with another meetup; so tickets may sell out quickly.
