Red Dress Run

Registration is now open! The price is lower the sooner you register! https://store.hashspace.com/product.php?productid=16717&cat=256

For details of this year's run: http://www.reddressruns.org/?page_id=408

I will continue to update this as details come available. Also, as people sign up, I think we should look at booking some hotel rooms so that was can fully enjoy the hash (and its after party).

All: running a few minutes late - but still plan to meet in the Melrose lobby - thinking it will be 11. Shoot me a message if you can't find me!

There is an all female kennel that hashes once a month called the DC Red Tent ( not to be confused with Red Dress, mind you). I don't know how many of you have any hashing experience (or are unsure whether you will survive it), but at least you will be able to test your hashing mettle. The September trail will be on Sunday the 16th. I don't have the details yet, but I'm sure the after party will include brunch (the boys are welcome to join). After we eat, it's off to the Rock Bottom Brewpub on Wilson (http://www.rockbottom.com/arlington) for a Beer For Brains fundraiser. That's this years' charity for the Red Dress Run.

Hi all! Wanted to let you know that a couple members of the group & I will be staying at the Melrose Hotel on Saturday, October 6th (it is beside McFadden's, which is where the after party will be). If you are signed up for the meetup, please be sure you officially register for the run ASAP (the price will only get higher). Please message Patti if you are interested in hashing before the red dress - she has connections!

Ha! Spoken like a true hasher, Kristopher! The hash is very welcoming, of course. For a special event that will close when it sells out (and it will!), this is a very fair rquirement. Every hasher likes a good short cut, so here's one to find an upcoming hash: www.dchhashing.com. You'll be glad you went! Tell 'em "Hops" sent you.

In that case, Dixie, may I suggest a meetup soon for a Saturday morning at 1000. We could join the MVH3 for their hash..... They really, really like virgins..... ;-)

I'm on RDR mismanagement and happy to answer questions. Technically, you must be a hasher. But that's easy! Show up once at a hash prior to registering. This year's Red Dress Run is supporting brain cancer research through the Beer For Brains Foundation.

Catherine: the Red Dress Run is open to everyone - you don't need a kennel. When you register, I believe you just skip those questions.

Do you have to be a real hasher to participate? I've heard these are really fun, but I don't have a hash name or home kennel, so I'm confused as to whether outsiders can register.
