Note:  There has been a location change!  Because the pizzeria was a little too noisy, I've asked my employer, The Motley Fool, if we could use their space for the meeting.  So...two things...

1.  The building is locked after 5:00 and I'll have to let you in, so put my phone number into your phone [masked].  Call me when you get here and I'll come let you in.

2.  Bring whatever you'd like to eat or drink.  Alcoholic beverages are fine as long as you're over 21.  We have some vending machines with water, soda, snacks, etc. as well.

Thanks to everyone who attended our first meeting!  It was a great group and an awesome meeting.  I can't wait to get to know all of you better as we all learn together.

February's book is The Heart of the Buddha’s Teaching by Thich Nhat Hanh

Amazon.com Review:

What should we think when on the one hand Buddhism tells us that life is suffering and on the other we are told to enjoy life's every moment? Loved around the world for his simple, straightforward explanations of Buddhism, Thich Nhat Hanh has finally turned his hand to the very core of Buddhism and conundrums such as this. In the traditional way, Thich Nhat Hanh takes up the core teachings one by one--the Four Noble Truths, the Noble Eightfold Path, the Twelve Links of Interdependent Co-Arising--but his approach is as fresh as a soft breeze through a plum orchard. For illustration, he dips into the vast stores of Buddhist literature right alongside contemporary anecdotes, pointing out subtleties that can get glossed over in other popular introductions. He also includes three short but key sutras, essential source teachings from which all Buddhism flows. Studying the basics of Buddhism under Zen master Thich Nhat Hanh is like learning basketball from Michael Jordan. --Brian Bruya   Some people said that they had a little difficulty finding street parking near the restaurant.  There is a garage on Ballenger Street (between the Starbucks and Roebecks about 2 blocks from the restaurant) that is open into the late evening. As I said last night, I'm also open to other Old Towne venues if anyone has any ideas.

I am looking forward to this! I may be a little late since I work until 6:30, but I will try to get there as soon as possible.
