Mindfulness is the practice of being awake to the present moment. To be mindful is to be truly alive and at one with those around you and with what you are doing.
Mindfulness also helps us live more harmoniously with life’s inevitable ups and downs, helping to reduce stress and its effects, center the mind, and cultivate feelings of peacefulness and well-being.
Join us each Wednesday to receive teachings and practice mindfulness meditation and mindful walking. This is a learning experience, so feel free to bring your questions and thoughts. All are welcome. Please bring a meditation cushion if you have one.
$10 Suggested Contribution (*Dana)
*Dana means "generosity." In offering these teachings without a set price, I practice dana. It is my wish to bring these practices to everyone, regardless of one's ability to pay. You can practice dana by making a contribution that helps to sustain the group. Contributions go towards the use of the space, for materials such as meditation cushions, for the livlihood of the teacher (usually, but not always, me), and to extend the teachings to those with limited means. Your generosity is greatly appreciated.
