Come join us in seeing Argo again. It was voted the AFI Film of the Year!

Argo has 7 Oscar nominations including: Best Picture, Adapted Screenplay, Supporting Actor (Alan Arkin), Editing and Original Score.

"It's serious and substantive, an ingeniously written and executed drama fashioned from a fascinating, little-known chapter of recent history." – Ann Hornaday, The Washington Post

On Nov. 4, 1979, militants storm the U.S. embassy in Tehran, Iran, taking 66 American hostages. Amid the chaos, six Americans manage to slip away and find refuge with the Canadian ambassador. Knowing that it's just a matter of time before the refugees are found and likely executed, the U.S. government calls on extractor Tony Mendez (Ben Affleck) to rescue them. Mendez's plan is to pose as a Hollywood producer scouting locations in Iran and train the refugees to act as his "film" crew.

I'd love to go but have a previous commitment for this date. If this happens to be shown at Arlington Drafthouse maybe there will be a meetup for that If not, maybe on the AMC pre-oscar Sat thing that Lara mentioned earlier.

Hi Lisa, I will definitely make this a meetup if/when it comes to the Drafthouse, as I love the film. I had to show it at AFI as they voted it movie of the year and I love the venue. :-)
