Jonas Kaufmann stars in the title role of Massenet's sublime adaptation of Goethe's revolutionary and tragic romance, opposite Sophie Koch as Charlotte. The new production is directed and designed by Richard Eyre and Rob Howell, the same team that created the Met's recent hit staging of Carmen. Rising young maestro Alain Altinoglu conducts.

I will not be in attendance for this one, but wanted people to be able to find one another.
Note: These live operas do have intermissions. You also get to see how the Met takes sets apart and puts new ones up between acts. They also interview members of the cast and crew. These breaks create other opportunities (besides intermission) to run to the restroom or take a break from the show.
