I'll let our hostess, Linda Bolton, tell you all about it in her own words. "Color us happy! We discovered Silvina completely by chance last summer. Cozy Cabin alumna Emily Elbert was performing at the former Living Room on New York’s Lower East Side, and she suggested that we come ea...rly for Silvina’s set. “You’ll like her,” was all Emily said. That had to be the understatement of the year! We were enthralled by her Latin-infused indie pop; not surprisingly, she also enjoys singing tango when she performs live. We invited Silvina to perform at Cozy Cabin the next time she was in the US, and that time is now!
Silvina hails from Buenos Aires, Argentina and, like many of Cozy Cabin’s artists, studied at Boston’s Berklee College of Music. Her first album, Mañana, was nominated for “Best New Pop Album” at the 2013 Argentine Gardel Awards.
After a successful European summer tour in 2013, she returned to Argentina to open for Alicia Keys. Silvina has shared the stage with revered musicians Bobby McFerrin, Michael McDonald, Juan Luis Guerra and Academy Award winner Jorge Drexler (“The Motorcycle Diaries”), and has supported Brazil’s Gilberto Gil and Mavis Staples. Her first single, “Puede Ser” was chosen for Argentina’s popular telenovela “Mi Amor, Mi Amor.” Her facebook page has nearly 31,000 “likes,” and her youtube videos have a combined total of over 1 million views!
We hope you’ll join us for what promises to be an exhilarating late afternoon of international music by an immensely talented emerging artist. Silvina’s rapid ascent to the indie pop star stratosphere is not going unnoticed; you never know, one day you might be saying you discovered the next Shakira or Jennifer Lopez right here at the Cozy Cabin!"

As always, thank you for supporting live music and emerging artists like Silvina!
