See Baroque opera by candlelight in a Royal Opera production of the Cavalli opera, which will be performed by 9 singers and 8 Early Opera Company musicians.

Here are videos of assorted ritornelli, Auree trecce inanellate and Ah questo è limeneo. Here are links to the synopsis and score. Please note that the opera will be performed in English (the translation is quite good) as there will be no supertitles.

Tickets cost £10 to £100 can be booked here. Hurry as the venue seats only 300 slim spectators.

Sam Wanamaker Playhouse is a reconstructed indoor Jacobean theatre in oak lit by 100 beeswax candles - my photos here. We will meet at the upper foyer bar during the interval.

27/03/2014 - RSVPs closed as the entire run is now sold out.

I went to L'Ormindo on Friday 11 April and I have never heard baroque music played in such a good acoustic.

My seat is B15 in the upper gallery - so excited that I want to attend in period costume.

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
