Many thanks to Jim for finding and organising this event. Unsurprisingly I went straight for the mulled wine after dumping my coat. Three rotations of acting, dancing and quizzing meant that none of the 80 guests (alas, only 75 showed up) had to wait long to partake in the festivities. The game pie was so filling that I didn't need to have dinner!

Our hosts will be providing seasonal refreshments at this intimate little Epiphany soiree (punch, pie and Twelfth Night cake). So, although numbers are not as limited as at their talks and recitals, they will need to know in advance how many to cater for.

So glad you are coming to the revelries, Andrea. When Morwenna Rae, the Deputy Curator and Education Officer at Dr Johnson?s House finds out that you are a singer, she'll very probably ask you to perform your Georgian party piece. Alternatively, if you preferred, something earlier would be much appreciated. What would you suggest?
