*We're going to try an experiment to help more people be able to come out to September's international dinner night. With Leon's help, I'm going to be offering two seatings for Dakshin: one at 6:00 and one at 8:00. Each seating will have 20 spots. I will hang out for the first seating and Leon will take over for the second one. Hopefully, this will work out swell and let twice as many people come! Hooray!
Dakshin has always been a popular suggestion for places to go for our dinner nights. And for good reason!
If you haven't had a ton of experience with Indian food, you may not know that most Indian food we get here in Louisville is North Indian. It's probably what you think of when you think of Indian food--the rice, the thick sauces, the vibrant colors, the naan, etc. North Indian food is indeed delicious, but we do have two restaurants here in Louisville (that I know of) that serve South Indian food. Dakshin serves both North and South Indian food (as well as Indo-Chinese food), but it's especially awesome at South Indian.
It's a little bit of a drive from where our usual meetups are (Fern Creek), but this little hole-in-the-wall is well-worth it. If you're up for a food adventure, just RSVP and we'll see you there!
