There's nothing quite like the feeling of your airplane landing in a new country and setting off in a taxi ready to explore it! I love getting out and seeing the world and learning about ways of life different than my own.
I know there are like-minded people in Louisville that are interested in traveling, eating international food, learning about other cultures, and that are just interested in the world around them, in general. I set up this group up to meet them!
I try to speak Spanish. A big reason I enjoy traveling to Latin America is to practice it in the real world, rather than another classroom!
India, Bolivia, Thailand, Laos, Cambodia, Vietnam, Argentina, Morocco, Bali...
Dakshin (Indian restaurant), Havana Rumba, Queen of Sheba, El Mundo (if it were ever possible to get a table!)
Flanagan's, Dragon King's Daughter, Shenanigans, The Bard's Town
I'm so happy to know that there are over 300 people in Louisville that have similar interests!
I am sorry that you won't be joining us for Ethiopian. I couldn't help but notice you have K-food in your pic. That will certainly make the rotation. Until next time ~ cheers!
Looking forward to a future meetup!! Glad to have found you and this group.
Hey Danielle. Not sure if you remember me but we met through Erika more than six months ago. I just got back from my trip and wanted to officially join the group. I look forward to seeing you again.
Sure, I will take the spot. See you at 6.30.
Speaking of travels, I just returned last night from St. John's and was RSVPing for event, however it is full. Perhaps I can be on the cancellation list.
Thank you for welcoming to the group. Looking forward to our next meeting.
The Beer Fest is sold out. There might be some tix being sold on Craig's List which you can check out and get one that way.
If not, maybe I'll see you at the next event! ;)
Hi Danielle, I decided to check out the exchange club and dinner. I found doors locked, no tables and a ladder in the middle of the floor. Have they moved or did they go out of business? There's a great cuban restaurant in New Albany if they've gone out of business.
Thank you indeed for welcoming me! I am excited to meet some of Louisville's fellow xenophiles
Thanks Danielle for adding it to the list. Petra is at 3904 Bardstown Rd., the section of it that runs next to Buechel Bypass. --Hookah pipes sure smell better than cigarettes!
