Let's get together at Light Horse Restaurant in Old Town to kickoff our first meetup! They've got a great bar area upstairs that can accommodate a larger group and a nice wine list by the glass and bottle. I'll have a few bottles to share as well.
It'll be a great chance to meet each other over some good wine and food. Feel free to bring friends! Look forward to seeing you there!
The Light Horse has allowed a special arrangement on Saturday just for our group. In addition to their regular menu, we'll be able to sample a flight of 8 wines (listed below) for $20 per person. I've invited importer, Travis Vernon from The Spanish Wine Importers and Certified Sommelier, Andrew Stover from Vino50 Selections to come out and pour a few wines from their portfolios. This will be a great opportunity to expand your palate by tasting some unique wines and hang out with the individuals who have personally made these selections.
The Spanish Wine Importers
Signat Semi-Seco from Catalan, Spain
Heredad de Penalosa Verdejo from Rueda, Spain
Dinarells Garnacha Blend from Catalan, Spain
Perla Real Monastrell from Jumilla, Spain
Chateau Grand Traverse 'Ship of Fools' Pinot Blanc Blend from Old Mission Peninsula, Michigan
McPherson 'Les Copains' Grenache Blanc/Viognier from High Plains, Texas
Sawtooth Syrah from Snake River Valley, Idaho
Boxwood Estate 'Trellis' Merlot/Malbec from Middleburg, Virginia
Also, we'd like to move the Meetup time to 5:30pm from 6:00pm. Please let me know if this is an issue. Hopefully, schedules are more flexible during the weekend.
I'm sorry for the change in time, but there was a conflict at 5:30pm so we've moved the start time to 7pm.
Please join us for a great time! See you Saturday!
