For Those About to ROCK... All Day BYOB Potluck BBQ w/ Volleyball!!!

Yeah!!! For Those About to ROCK... Weeee Salute You!

It's ANOTHER All Day BYOB Potluck BBQ w/ Volleyball!!! I'll have coolers of ice, and paper products & the ATO propane grill paid for by your ATO dues. Please plan on bringing something to share! Mark Chong is bringing his volleyball set for those who want to sweat in the sun! I'll be drinkin' in the shade...as usual.

Extra coolers are always welcome so I don't have to haul it all!

This time we are setting up on Magic Island so Mark can set up his volleyball net. From the Magic Island Parking lot, start walking toward the ocean looking for a volleyball net.  The Magic Island Parking lot has over 400 parking spaces so parking should not be difficult but the Ala Moana Shopping Center parking is only a few minutes walk away.

I will have paper plates, cups, napkins, and coolers of ice paid for by your $20 annual dues. When you RSVP, please also tell us what food and/or drink you will be bringing.  Party crashers and all guests are welcome to attend but from a higher power and in an effort to promote fairness, ALL Adult NON-ATO members are requested to pay $2 to share the cost of supplies. Alternatively, you may join ATO & pay $20 annual dues.

Mahalo, john f.

For those of you that don't know this will be my (travis AKA the Movie Maestro) last ATO event before I leave the Island, so come out and say Aloha and have some drinks with me!!

Mahalo, Travis

----------------------

The BLAH BLAH:

If you are not attending, you do not need to RSVP "NO" as it is understood.

This event is a POTLUCK BBQ. Please bring something to share with others. Whether it be something to grill, a snack, or something already cooked, please contribute something.

The question I am most often asked is, "What should I bring?" My answer is to bring something that you are happy or proud to share. I almost always bring 5 pounds of chicken and a bottle of whiskey. Some people bring a case of their favorite beer. Some select few actually prepare their own favorite dish. You are not required to spend a lot of money. We just don't want many, many bags of chips so that is why I ask people to please tell us what food and/or drink you will be bringing when you RSVP.

The meaning of BYOB: BYOB is short for Bring Your OWN Beverage / Booze. I am happy to share because I certainly do not come close to finishing my bottle of whiskey but pretty-please do not come without your favorite beverage expecting to drink other people's drinks. If you have a specific need for beer, diet soda, or even bottled water, please bring it. Thank you very much for your patience and understanding on this one.

Please do not call me for directions, weather forecast, sunset time, bus schedule, dress code, etc. As a last resort, you may text me at[masked]-2972. Please understand that event organizers are volunteers. I am not responsible for the weather, any unforeseen changes, charges or fees, or if anything happens to you or your property during events. Please do not leave valuables in your car, eat & drink at your own risk, chew your food well before you swallow, watch where you step, hold the handrails, look both ways before you cross the street, etc. Thank you very much for your self reliance.

John, I am not a very good organizer but would have no problem helping out to possibly get some pointers from you. :) Not to mention, we are only supposed to be here another year. Not sure what our future holds with my husbands job. You can private email me or call me if you would like to discuss it further. Mahalo...

Just confirming that there is little to no interest in playing volleyball. Is this correct? If you ARE INTERESTED, please post a coment below or Mark will not bother to set up the volleyball net. Mahalo, john f

I have a bean bag toss game we can bring if anyone is interested. Closest thing to our "cornhole" boards I could find. I am going to discuss this with mt hubby for this weekend. Been here 4 months without meeting any locals.
