The Honolulu Club will be having it's annual Christmas Party on Saturday, December 7, 2013 from 7 pm to 11 pm to benefit the Hawaii USMC Toys for Tots program at the Honolulu Club 7th floor. Complementary (Yes, FREE!) pupus will be provided by the Honolulu Club. The cost is $10 or a unwrapped new toy if you are a Honolulu Club member. It is $15 or 2 unwrapped new toys for non Honolulu Club members.
All donations in Hawaii stay here to buy toys for children in Hawaii. Each Toy received and penny collected are distributed to the local children. Due to the harder economics times we are facing this year, the Toys for Tots program is hoping for a record breaking year in 2013. Help us in meeting our goal to deliver more than 45,000 toys locally and make Christmas 2013 the most successful one yet. The Attire/Theme is Red & White Party. Get in the spirit by wearing anything Red & White. There will also be door prizes Compliments of Schewe Travel, plus many other wonderful gifts. The Honolulu Club will validate parking for 5 hours free or you may park along Ward Ave for free after 6 PM but please check the street signs to be sure. Let's help collect toys for kids & have a great time! See you there! Semper Fi & aloha, john
The mission of the U. S. Marine Corps Reserve Toys for Tots Program is to collect new, unwrapped toys during October, November and December each year, and distribute those toys as Christmas gifts to needy children in the community in which the campaign is conducted. The primary goal of Toys for Tots is to deliver, through a new toy at Christmas, a message of hope to less fortunate youngsters that will assist them in becoming responsible, productive, patriotic citizens. The objectives of Toys for Tots are to help less fortunate children throughout the United States experience the joy of Christmas; to play an active role in the development of one of our nation’s most valuable resources – our children; to unite all members of local communities in a common cause for three months each year during the annual toy collection and distribution campaign; and to contribute to better communities in the future.
