We are starting off the New Year with a themed party, and we want all of you to dress up as the most outrageous, obvious and over-the-top tourist in Oahu! Fanny packs, zinc oxide on the nose, plastic leis, crazy aloha shirts, and all other manners of tourist wear are welcome. And don't forget the way-too-large cameras around the neck! Ladies, mumu's and extra large sunglasses are also appreciated. We'll all meet at the pool area near Don Quijote for a potluck BBQ on Saturday, January 8 from 5 pm to 11 pm. There is a swimming pool, gas BBQ, full kitchen, bathrooms, & 10 guest parking stalls. Street parking is free after 6 pm. I recommend that you try to come before 6 and just pay a little in the metered parking because the street parking fills up fast after 6. Please access the pool area thru the double doors on Kanunu Street on the Ewa side of the building closest to Amana Street. Do NOT go to the main entrance. I will NOT be there. And if you can't find the doors, just listen for the amazing karaoke. I will have paper plates, cups, napkins, and coolers of ice. When you RSVP, please also tell us what food and/or drink you will be bringing. Party crashers and all guests are welcome to attend but from a higher power and in an effort to promote fairness, ALL non-ATO members are requested to pay $1 to share the cost of supplies. Alternatively, you may join ATO & pay $10 annual dues. Just like the last time, I'll have Karaoke! We will be also be welcoming our newest members and celebrating the birthdays of those born in December & January with dessert from ATO!!! Aloha, john The nitty-gritty: Due to building rules, we MUST be cleaned up by 11 pm. If you are still around and see me start to put away chairs at 10:50, please help me clean up. Also, if you have not paid your $10 annual dues, you can pay tonight. Your $10 annual dues pay for paper products used at potlucks, birthday cake, and supplies at ATO events. Mahalo!!!
