NEW MEMBER WELCOME All Day BYOB Potluck BBQ at Kaimana/San Souci Beach!

It's ANOTHER All Day BYOB Potluck BBQ!!! I will bring my propane grill to cook stuff! This event is a POTLUCK BBQ.  Please bring something to share with others. Whether it be something to grill, a snack, or something already cooked, please contribute something.

When you RSVP, please also tell us what food and/or drink you will be bringing.  Party crashers and all guests are welcome to attend.

The BLAH BLAH:

If you are not attending, you do not need to RSVP "NO" as it is understood.

The question I am most often asked is, "What should I bring?" My answer is to bring something that you are happy or proud to share. I almost always bring 5 pounds of chicken and a 12 pack of Coke Zero. Some people bring a case of their favorite beer. Some select few actually prepare their own favorite dish. You are not required to spend a lot of money. We just don't want many, many bags of chips so that is why I ask people to please tell us what food and/or drink you will be bringing when you RSVP.

The meaning of BYOB: BYOB is short for Bring Your OWN Beverage / Booze. I am happy to share because I certainly do not come close to finishing my bottle of whiskey but pretty-please do not come without your favorite beverage expecting to drink other people's drinks. If you have a specific need for beer, diet soda, or even bottled water, please bring it. Thank you very much for your patience and understanding on this one.

Please do not call me for directions, weather forecast, sunset time, bus schedule, dress code, etc. As a last resort, you may text me at[masked]-2972. Please understand that event organizers are volunteers. I am not responsible for the weather, any unforeseen changes, charges or fees, or if anything happens to you or your property during events. Please do not leave valuables in your car, eat & drink at your own risk, chew your food well before you swallow, watch where you step, hold the handrails, look both ways before you cross the street, etc. Thank you very much for your self reliance.

This events is cross posted with Debra's Event on a different Meetup group.  The more the merrier, right!?!?!?!  I say, "DEFINITELY YES!!!!"

From Debra:

Memorial Day is just around the corner (sorta!), and what better way to start the summer than a picnic? This is going to be cross-posted on a few Meetup groups, so it's open to everyone--women, men, spouses, significant others, insignificant others, kids, people that act like kids, whatevers!

This is potluck, but you'll need to byob, utensils and serving ware. We will have a 10' x 10' pop-up tent, a large cooler and at least one 6-ft table for food (and, of course, garbage bags!).

Because it's at Kaimana, parking can sometimes be beastly! As it gets closer, I'll post my phone number, and if you want to call me when you're close, I'll tell you if there's any parking.

What to bring:
-Something to share, food-wise. Unless you're making your own chips, or bringing a dip that has won recipe contests, chips and dips are out! It doesn't have to be homemade, but you're an adult (if you're reading this), c'mon! (And something to share DOES NOT consist of a partially eaten Subway sandwich cut in to 4 pieces. Really.)
-Your own drinks. There will be a cooler to put them in, and ice.
-Utensils. Plates. Bowls. Whatever you eat out of. Or on. Your choice.
-Chairs, sunscreen, floaties, towels, bathing suit. This is a -beach- picnic.

What would help:
-Another tent.
-Another cooler.
-Having you there.

Come by whenever you want, leave whenever you want. Give yourself some extra time for parking. See you at the beach!

We just grab a coffee and speak French. Some people have been coming every week for months... it creates a kind of warmth to the group.
