Hello, I am the parent of a teen with aspergers and would like to join your group.
I am a parent of a teen with aspergers and considered myself an old pro at spec ed when he was young, but the teen years have brought on new and more challenging issues and I am now a newbie again in getting the support he needs in the high school!

Hi Rita...
I'm originally from Walpole, I currantly live in Randolph... Driving to meetings or get togethers is never an issue... Are there any up coming meetings? This is the very first time I have ever communicated with anyone with regard to my sons newly diagnosis's of Aspergers and I'm really looking to meet other mothers/fathers
with whom I may be able to relate too...
I look forward to hearing from you...
Kathy
Thanks Rita for the message.
We are in Waltham. Thankfully I work in an elementary school...so I can keep up with the boys needs.
I look forward to the next get together.
Donna
Hi Rita...
Thank you so much for reaching out to me..! It's been a rough month and a half. My son (John) is 14yrs old and his Doctor's seem to think that they may have missed diagnost his ADHD and he may infact be on the higher functioning spectrum of Aspergers. I'm not sure what to think... I've known that my son was unique in his ways, but he's my only child so I really had nothing to compare him too... I'm looking to meet parents who are dealing with the same issues for support. Thank you!
Hi Rita,
Replying to a note I got, not sure if this is the right way to do it...
My son is 11 years old w/PDD-NOS diagnosis. We live in Newton but I saw this group and joined just to see what happens here. I probably wont make it to any gatherings but you never know...
BTW I spend most of my SPED time (aside from enjoying my son's company and thinking about him) working with the NewtonPAC (e.g. setting up an IEP study group http://newtonpac.org/iep-study-group/![]()
).
Thanks for reaching out!
