Welcome to the Alliance Crochet group! I am now the brand-spanking-new proud owner of a Meet-up group! My husband is going to kill me.

The main purpose I have in starting this group is simple: to meet others with a similar interest to myself. I hope we can arrange get togethers where we can share our current projects, ask advice, discuss and share patterns and ideas...basically anything and everything having to do with crochet.

I am not morally opposed to Knitters...I just don't know how to knit. I've been urged to try it, but figured...man I have enough to worry about! All knitters are also welcome - I'll have to learn how to speak Knittease in order to participate, but i'll just add it to my list of esoteric languages.

I, your organizer, am a mother of two children: a 3 yr old and a 10 year old. I recently turned 40, and yes, i'm OLD (for a mom of a 3 yr old anyway). I'm massively overeducated, but i swear I am not trying to sound important or smart....it's the book learning. it rots the brain. there is no 12-step program to help you learn how to speak like a normal human being again after too many years of college.

I hope to meet you soon and share some common interests. by the way, if anyone plays euchre, i'm up for that too. :)
