Introduction

Howdy all - I'm your organizer and erstwhile leader. Now, all I need are some minions.

How long have you crocheted? (If you don't but wish to learn, say so!)

I've crocheted since I was around 10 years old (so around 30 years) but I took a 20 year hiatus. I restarted crocheting about 4 years ago.

Who taught you your first stitches?

My mom taught me to do a chain, then a granny square when I was a little girl. Somewhere around here I still have that lopsided granny square.

What was your first project that you remember?

a Granny Square...no purpose to it. just a square.

What was your most recent project?

I am currently working on a baby blanket for a fellow Old Mom who had her second child in January. I'm a bit behind. Before that I finished a lovely sweater, gloves and scarf for my niece who is headed off to college.

How did you feel about the results of your most recent project? did you like it? were you proud of it? do you wish you'd done it differently?

The last thing I finished was my niece's scarf - I was not happy with it, and ripped it all out to restart it. In the end i did like the finished product - fun and funky, as well as warm!
