"Hey do you want to go for a hike? We're going to be hiking up from the bottom of the North Rim Trail in Alum Rock Park up into Open Space land. This will be about a 7 mile hike round trip with plenty of elevation gain. Come see the early spring flowers as they start to bloom. Catch some beautiful views and say hello to the early spring birds and wildlife. Watch Alum Rock park grow smaller and smaller as you hike up from the parking lot to beautiful trails above. This hike is for folks who like hills.
Alum Rock Park has iron rangers now and the parking fee is $6 a vehicle. If you want, you can park outside the park and carpool in so you only need to pay for one car (If your buddies come. )
