I am semi-proficient at a lot of things, but infinitely interested in connecting disconnected ideas. My career has lived in the micro world: micro-optics, microelectronics, thin film batteries, optical waveguides, and all the fun parts of their manufacture. I've also helped design neighborhoods in exchange for money, and also some medical product prototyping.
I have an ever-expanding list of things I want to make and need the physical space to do it. I also love the brilliant resourcefulness that happens when creative people get together and play/work freely.
Experimenter, prototyper, inventor, experienced in high tech manufacturing. Looking to start a makerspace in Alpharetta/Milton for creatives and techies outside the perimeter, and to form a skunkworks team for launching new products.
Fun, smart, and capable group of people that showed up for first members meeting. We decided to start working on our first project, an open source 3D printer of our own (MM 1.5) that we can modify and tweak with new attachments. This group was interested in weeknights, so we decided Tues/Thurs at 6:30pm would be good to start working on the printer... moving right along!
