It's about that time again! If you love hiking and being outdoors, then this is an amazing opportunity for you to take your skills and knowledge to the next level and participate in an organization full of people that share your passion. SARA's (Southern Arizona Rescue Association) new candidate recruitment and selection for this year is about to start. There are only two orientation meetings (Tuesday July 22, and Wednesday August 6), and you MUST attend one of them in order to apply. As part of the application process, you will also need to attend a Candidate Hike during the morning of Saturday August 16. For more details about application and training, please click here.
Search and rescue training is demanding, but as a SARA volunteer you will face challenges and adventures that most people never experience. Do yourself a favor, and attend one of these meetings to learn more.
SARA is a non-profit, all-volunteer search and rescue organization serving southern Arizona and Pima County since 1958. SARA members are volunteers from all walks of life, donating their time, skills and enthusiasm to provide a vital service to the public.
