You are invited, along with other Boston sponsored Meetups, to a very special Meetup on September 8th hosted by GE and featuring the company’s vice President of ecomagination Steve Fludder.

As you may have already heard, GE and its VC partners launched the $200m ecomagination Challenge: Powering the Grid in July. The Challenge is a call to businesses, entrepreneurs, innovators and students to share their best ideas on how to build the next-generation power grid – and get the chance to have their ideas funded.

As part of its support of Meetup groups this summer, GE is hosting a series of Meetups in select cities to talk about the Challenge and how collaboration with communities can make clean energy real, right now.

At this Meetup, Steve Fludder will lead a discussion on the business of innovation, the current power grid challenges, the need for collaboration and how working together, through the ecomagination Challenge, we can all be a part of the solution.

There will be drinks, hors d'oeuvres, and plenty of time for networking!

6:00 - 6:30 Networking
6:30 - 7:30 Steve Fludder Discussion
7:30 - 8:00 Q&A

About Steve: A 25-year GE veteran, Steve leads ecomagination, GE’s company-wide business strategy driving innovation and growth of profitable environmental solutions in a world where the environment and the economy have become inextricably linked.

You may RSVP here or at ecomagination's own meetup page. I'm submitting names to them.
