If the Phoenix does what a pub is supposed to do (ie serve alcohol) it should be an ideal and convenient place to have a few drinks and get us in the mood for the dancing downstairs. I'll be there from 8, hope to see you there too!

Good to know this is a tried and tested evening. I think if the upstairs is a normal, no nonsense pub then that's all we need to do a bit of getting to know each other before we go downstairs and dance.

That's no problem at all. For anyone else planning to turn up - don't know how long we'll stay in the pub for, I like things to just happen, but I'd guess chances are we'll be downstairs between 10 and 11. I'll be wearing black stripy skinny jeans, and just to be absolutely certain - I'm the girl in my photo. :) I'll probably also be wearing an orange top, or possibly a black one with white writing on it. So look out for me. Catch you all later! X

Yes, I've been there before and also at the Phoenix. That's a monthly party and the organisers just use the venue to run it. Good idea about meet upstairs! In my opinion, it is great due to the music and the stylish people. But the place itself is pretty humble, nothing special. About the pub upstairs, I really don't know coz I always go straight to the dance floor... Xx.
