I will coordinate the event, give pianists the opportunity to perform, help in the search for a location, and design the concert program. This should be a fun experience for everyone attending. I may even play a piece or two.
This group is intended for intermediate or advanced levels of amateur pianists, adults 18 and over. On occasion, we can invite younger pianists or professional concert pianists, too. I am open to your suggestions!
"Each pianist will have 10–12 minutes for their set, performing any style(s) of their choosing. It can be one long piece, or a few smaller ones. Of course, we'll also have a fun meet-and-greet portion before and after for socializing. "

Thanks will do! I also have a friend with an original composition who might be interested in playing but haven't mentioned it to him. Would it be OK?
Hey Glenn,
Yes I would love to play a composition at the upcoming recital! I have theme ringing in my head over the past few days that I'm hoping to put to music. I also have a few ideas that I want to be able to develop soon, but I haven't made the time to actually do it. Hopefully I can have them all ready by the recital date. But if not, I could play one of my older compositions.
There's a new ukulele event on the horizon. The California Ukulele Academy takes place on the weekend of October 26 to 28 in a retreat in the San Bernardino Mountains near Big Bear, CA. Instructors include Jim D'Ville, Cali Rose, Craig Brandau and Sarah Maisel and some hot performers. This is a solid weekend of instruction, jamming and fun stuff at an unusually low price.

Hi Glenn. Thanks for the warm welcome. I have saved the date for the recital in Carlsbad. I am really looking forward to it! Have a great rest of your weekend.
Hi Glenn,
I am an agency Art Director with over 12 years experience in medical device marketing. My family moved to San Diego last fall, and I'm looking to network to get to know professionals in the biomedical fields and anyone in marketing or advertising in general here in San Diego. Hope I can meet you at a meetup soon. Can you suggest anyone I could talk to or any groups or events to attend? Many thanks! Kimberly
Hi, Glenn! Welcome to San Diego Creative Connection; we look forward to meeting you soon. :)
we disucussed about my performance of the the shotakovich sonate b min and the bach c min partita, just the first movements of both couple weeks ago before you announced the 10 pianist and thought i was included.
the reason why i ask was because my piece exceed the ten minutes and thought i can play one in the 1st half then the next the other half
i thought i was on the list per our correspondence the last month? i've been preparing
I will definitely consider that :-)
I discovered a Classical tune for my composition, recently; and I am working on how I want to fit it into one of my songs. It is certain that it deserves its own song X-P
