Welcome to AmateurPianists!

This Meetup Group is designed to bring together skilled amateur classical pianists with those who enjoy piano music in San Diego County and surrounding areas.

The primary purpose is to host recitals four times per year and offer a relaxed and fun “concert-style” setting for piano recitals. You may come as a performer, or as an audience member. Our aim is to provide an enjoyable atmosphere for social gatherings around our appreciation and dedication to the performance art of classical piano.

Locations for our recitals are usually at library auditoriums, but they can be at other venues large enough to accommodate our performances. I welcome your suggestions for locations.

In addition to free recital series, we host special gala/benefit recitals and a Masterclass series designed to educate and entertain.

There are classical piano fans everywhere, and San Diego is no exception. Whether you have a full-time career, you are a student, or you just want to come to hear great music, I invite you to join our celebrations of the amateur pianist.
