Introduction
I moved to SoCal from Portland, OR a little over two years ago and planted myself temporarily in Orange County. Oceanside is now home for me, although I continue to commute to OC. This group gives me a reason to return to practicing again!!
Are you interested in performing for an upcoming piano recital, or are here for the enjoyment as an audience member?
Having a reason to prepare pieces up to performance standards will be wonderful for me. There will be times when I would enjoy just being in the audience, but I would love to perform when I'm feeling well-prepared.
How did you hear about this group?
The notification of an event for this group somehow appeared in my email just in time for me to attend the recital at Carlsbad Public Library on Sat., 5/5/12. Loved it! I think it found my email through another Meetup link, and I'm very glad it did. There is no other way I would have known about it. This is the nicest thing that has happened to me since my move from Oregon! What an important discovery! This gives me a reason to get back to the piano. The playing that took place in the second half of Saturday's program truly inspired me back into consistent practice. Teaching piano for years has managed to destroy my inspiration to play and perform myself, so this is an excellent opportunity for me to come on out and play once again. Thank you for organizing this group!

Hi Lynn, it was great meeting you yesterday! I'm so happy that you enjoyed the piano recital yesterday, I think it was one of the best so far. Please perform for us in the July or October recitals, I'm sure we would all enjoy that very much. Piano playing inspires all of us.
