Introduction

As founder & organizer of the Long Beach Piano group ( http://www.meetup...), I'm thrilled a sister group has sprung up just "down the road". I won't make every event, but would love to participate in this new group!

Are you interested in performing for an upcoming piano recital, or are here for the enjoyment as an audience member?

Definitely would like to perform :)

How did you hear about this group?

  • HI Carol,
If you do not want me sing "Widmung", I can play Chopin instead, but I thought it would be very interesting to sing "Widmung" because we all know the piece. Please let me know. I hope Phil talked about Faure piece already to you though. Thank you very much.

  • HI Carol,
I am not so sure if you got my message, but I would like to sing this time? It is OK? Phil and I are working on this piece by Faure, "Les roses d"Isspahan" and also I am thinking about singing Schumann, "Wimung. Each lasts about a couple of minutes. Very short pieces. I hope Phil has already talked about it. He wanted me to sing very complicated Debussy piece and I just did not have time so I thought I might sing "Widmug" which Wee-LIng played last time. Kyoko

  • Hi Carol... I have no idea what to expect joining this group. But happy to hear that it for the purpose of encouraging pianists; especially because we're hard on ourselves.

  • Hi Carol, my teenaged boys (14 going on 15) have been playing the piano (classical mostly) for over five years now. Do you know of a group of youngsters/teenagers like this? Long Beach or Orange County area? Marlena

  • Thank you so much again for coming down to San Diego for the piano recital, and also for the wonderful feedback you left for the group! It's always great that so many nice people get together to share their enjoyment of piano music. I will see you again soon for an upcoming Long Beach one! Have a great weekend, Carol. Best, Glenn

  • Hola Carol. Thanks again for the invite. It's on my calendar (for your July session). Looking forward to the event. You're on Clark, so what's the major cross-street near you? You're down by LB State, I think. I'll be there as long as Mexico's State Dept. hasn't issued any travel warnings for the area. I jest, or course. Gracias.

  • Hi Carol, I recently joined this group, and I would like to attend the upcoming meeting on 3/27. Is it okay to attend just as audience? Is this going to be potluck?
