This is a group for those of us who want to experience a wide range of events affordably. We do coffee hours, walks, dining, movies, museums, concerts, fairs and festivals, walking tours, historical houses, boat tours, and more. We also do unique events that are more of a bucket-list nature - things you may have always wanted to do but didn't have the time to do; things you didn't want to do alone; or things you thought you'd do someday. Now is the time to do them! Connecticut has so much to offer, with many hidden gems that are waiting to be discovered. Be a part of the discovery. Many of our events are appropriate for children and are family-friendly. Many are free. Keep an open mind and an adventurous spirit, and try something new. You may be pleasantly surprised!
We are a group of quality people seeking quality friendships and events.
Regarding attendance at events: if you did an RSVP as "Yes" and then cannot attend, please change your RSVP to "No" due to limited space and waiting lists at some events.
Annual membership fee is $5.00 per year to cover Meetup's recently increased organizer dues and other expenses. You can have a 90-day free trial. Please help support those Meetup groups you really like, as organizer expenses are real challenges.
A clear facial photo is required for membership so we can recognize you at our events. Members who sign up will be asked to agree to keep their photos posted for the duration of their membership.
TRANSPORTATION TO/FROM EVENTS: It's fine to request a ride or carpooling on the event page; ultimately, members are responsible for their own transportation to and from events. Members, on occasion, may wish to carpool; others, for good reasons, wish to drive alone. Organizers and members are not obligated to provide transportation.
DISCLAIMER: We meet as a group of friends. By way of attendance at our events, members and their guests agree that Amazing Events, Activities, and Adventures and its organizers and event hosts will not be held liable for any injury/illness while attending the event. Members participate at their choosing and at their own risk and agree to accept responsibility for themselves during events.
