Hey Photogs,
Regarding the Saturday March 3rd Meetup w/Models. We will be meeting at the 9th Street Park in Benicia - http://g.co/maps/aenqp @ 3:00PM ~ Sunset
I have two professional models coming and I have promised to pay them. If you have RSVP'd and you are not serious about coming and chipping in (at this point around $20) please let me know ASAP. I am on the hook to pay these young women, please don't make me do it out of my own pocket.
Questions? I am at [masked]
Robert
Yes, I will get there at about 3:00, it's not a problem to come later.
There are some great rock formations at Ninth St Park on the south end -- not quite Point Lobos but much closer. Light will be pretty flat at 3, getting angular as the day wanes.
Any idea how long this shoot will last? I have another commitment later in the evening back in Sacramento. I don't have off-camera lighting equipment, but I'd like to learn from others.
We'll be shooting till dusk but you don't have to stay for the whole shoot. Come out and talk to the members about which equipment you should consider buying.
Eric I will try to get the location nailed down by tomorrow night.
do we know where this will be yet I want to plan accordingly :)
Was late to rsvp... but please let me know if a spot opens up. Thank you.
Will we be able to get the models under our own lighting or will there be some equipment for the Nikon guys?
Mattie: I've got two extra strobes and trigers and stands set up for nikon that are for share on this shoot.
Everyone the event will be at the 9th Street Park in Benicia. Please see the discussion board for additional details.
I have class until 3 in Fairfield. If I drive straight from class I'll still be arriving 90 minutes after the meetup begins. How long will it last? Should I wait for another that's scheduled for later in the day?
rhonda that shouldn't be a problem you should still get some time shooting with a model
Most of my shots casted a fairly harsh and unflattering shadows on the face, highlighting the importance of a relatively large light source relative to the model via modifiers/lightboxes/umbrellas to fill in the shadows.
this is the meet that got moved to march 3rd at 4pm right?
