ACFW Chicago Area Chapter January Meeting

Start your new writing year off with an inspirational presentation by

Caleb Sjogren is an associate editor at Tyndale House Publishers. For over seven years, he has worked on Tyndale’s fiction projects from authors such as Francine Rivers, Jerry B. Jenkins, Chris Fabry, and Allison Pittman. He and his family reside in the suburbs of Chicago.

As we think about goals and dreams for the new year, it's important to remember why we do what we do.  Why story is such a powerful force, and why it matters how we wield it and to whom we wield it.  This presentation will inspire you to reach for the best in your writing and your career.  Some of us had the chance to hear Caleb speak earlier this year in Indiana and we highly recommend it!

Sincere and heartfelt insight from a pro in the field. Thanks so much, Caleb, for sharing with us! Great to meet fellow ACFW writers. Looking forward to next month already! :D

Sorry guys...I set off, got as far as Mundelein and rte 176 was at a standstill so I gave up. What a filthy night...I hope some of you made it to the meeting.

Everyone getting nervous about driving is making me nervous! :)

I don't know about everywhere else, but here in Lake Zurich the temperature is staying above freezing... actually getting warmer from here. It is forecaster to be 39 degrees at 10 pm tonight! The rain might hurt visibility, but I don't think there will be any ice on the streets (sidewalks could be slick, though). Stay safe, everyone! I hope to see you all there tonight!

I wish I could, but 6:30 is sadly too early for me. :(

I am a little scared of driving in this rain, ice and flooding. I'm going to try for 6:30. I'm so disappointed I can't be there early!

Did Mr. Sjogren decide to have dinner with us at 5:30?

I want to come, so am responding "Yes." However, As I live two hours away, it will depend on the weather. I might have to cancel last minute if the roads are bad. Sorry. Winter is difficult for me.

No problem, Peg. Weather is always a factor!

Anna, that's fine. You come when you can and leave when you must. Since this notice was sent we have secured the room at Panera Bread in South Barrington, our usual meeting place.

We just grab a coffee and speak French. Some people have been coming every week for months... it creates a kind of warmth to the group.
