Lincoln: The Constitution and the Civil War is a new exhibit focusing on President Abraham Lincoln’s struggle to meet the political and constitutional challenges of the Civil War. It explores how Lincoln used the Constitution to confront three intertwined crises – the secession of Southern states, slavery, and wartime civil liberties.

Presented by the American Library Association and funded by a grant from the National Endowment for the Humanities to the National Constitution Center.
