The annual World of Pinot Noir event is happening at the end of this month in Santa Barbara. Lucky for you, there's no need to spend all that money and drive that far. Our friends Russ and Julie Coser have graciously offered us the use of their beautiful Rolling Hills home for a Pinot Noir party.
All we need is some nice bottles of Pinot, some good food, and you.
Wine: Each guest should bring one bottle of Pinot Noir, from anywhere in the world. Great Pinots are available from, of course, it's original home in Burgundy, France, as well as notable examples from California, Oregon, and New Zealand. If you dig a little deeper, you can find good examples from Australia, Italy, and Germany, among others. To help insure a certain level of quality, we ask that each bottle be priced at a minimum of $40 retail. Please list what you're bringing on the sign-up sheet.
Glasses: Please bring a couple of wine glasses, if you have them. Our hosts have some glasses, but not enough for everyone.
Sign-up Sheet for Wine, Food, and Carpooling
Food: This party will be potluck. Each guest will be asked to bring a main dish, side dish, or dessert. You don't need to bring enough to serve everyone, but please bring enough that several people can enjoy some of the dish. We'll include food on the sign-up sheet to make sure we get enough in each category.
Event Fee: To cover our hosts' costs for a cleanup crew, as well as a small fee for AWS expenses, we ask that each guest pay $12 in addition to bringing wine and food. Paying by PayPal, using the link on this page is preferred, but if you'd like, you can arrange to pay by cash or check.
Directions: To protect our hosts' privacy, we'll provide the exact address and directions a few days before the party to those with confirmed RSVPs. You may want to car pool with others in your area, so we'll also include that option on the sign-up sheet.
