Wine tasting and Dinner at Rotisserie Jules

Hello everyone! Cheryl has been kind enough to let me take over the Monthly wine-tasting meeting, so let's kick off the New Year with New World wines! It'll be great if we can get a mix of white and red, so please say in the comments which type you'll be bringing (bubbly is okay too!).

So plan to bring a bottle from any new world country (from home, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, South America, Africa, etc), in the price range of £6-£15, and plan to have a nice meal of roast lamb, chicken, and tasty sides, from previous experience, it runs between £15-£25 for the dinner, depending on how much we order and how many of us there are.

Hope to see you there!

Hi everyone- Just a quick heads up, I'm going to have to miss coming tonight, I've been fighting a terrible head cold that refuses to go away, and since I've lost my voice, thought it would be best to stay home to keep others from getting ill. I was hoping those of you who have been to a few of these would take the lead tonight? I've ordered the shoulder of lamb, so hopefully that should be available for the dinner, and I know you all will still have a blast! Also, welcome to the new people I haven't seen before- just pop into the restuarant and ask for the reservation under Lynn, it should be for 10 people and I'll have my flatmate call them to check that it's ready before 7pm. The place doesn't get crowded until after 8 pm usually, so the others should be easy to spot, just listen for the fellow American accents! I'm really sorry to miss out on my first hosting, but I will be here for the next one, so please email what you'd like for the next wine-tasting focus to be!

I'll probably bring a red (TBC!). We're planning on going away this weekend but it looks like we're flying out Saturday morning. There is the off chance we'll book a flight for Friday night, in which case I'll need to cancel. I'll know soon.

I'm so excited to have Lynn taking the lead on this. Like the book club, this has been one of the regular highlights of this group and always so much fun. Good luck, Lynn. We're lucky to have you!

White. I really cant handle red... its just too strong for me but lighter reds would probably be ok.
