My favorite bakery, Outsider Tart, started by two NYC expats, has expanded their culinary haven to include savory delights in their new shop Blue Plate. In both the bakery and cafe, they specialize in traditional American fare. The menu changes every day, but think along the lines of chili, macaroni and cheese, Ruben Pie, pulled pork sandwiches and patty melt to start, followed by the most decadent (and large!) desserts I've ever enjoyed.
Let's get together this Saturday at 7pm at Outsider Tart. Bring beer or wine with you as they are BYO for a little while longer.
