Why travel home on a packed commuter train, when you can stay in town and listen to some wonderful music instead? The fabulous Southbank Sinfonia start their 2013 Rush Hour Concerts with two pieces by Mendelssohn. They will be joined on violin by Harvey de Souza, the leader of the Academy of St Martin in the Fields and will be conducted by Simon Over.
They will be performing:
Mendelssohn Overture and Scherzo from A Midsummer Night’s Dream
Mendelssohn Violin Concerto
The concert is free and starts at 6pm at St John's Church opposite Waterloo Station.
