Join us for a chat over a Cwrw Cymru or a Penderyn at the London Welsh Centre.
That's a Welsh beer and a Welsh Whisky, although if you prefer other tipples, they're available too.
Our first event of the autumn is a casual drinks evening at the London Welsh Centre. It's a new venue for us and one I'm sure you'll enjoy. It's a little piece of Wales in London and it's well-worth a visit.
We'll be in the bar from 6-30pm onwards.
If you can't make it until later, that's fine, we're normally chatting until 10pm or so and people tend to come and go over the course of the evening. If you're running late and want to check, you can always give me a call on the Americans in London and Americans Abroad Meetup number -[masked] - which will be switched on from around 5pm until midnight on the day of the event.
How to find us:
The London Welsh Centre is at[masked] Grays Inn Road. The nearest underground stations are:
King's Cross/St.Pancras: With the stations behind you, turn left and walk the short distance to the end of Euston Road. Cross to the southern side of the road at the cross roads with York Way, Pentonville Road and Grays Inn Road. Walk south on the right hand side of Grays Inn Road for about six blocks and you'll see the London Welsh Centre with a Welsh flag flying high outside.
Russell Square: Turn right out of the station and walk down Bernard Street. At the first corner turn left into Brevil Street and at the T junction turn left into Guildford Street. Keep on the left hand side of the road and walk to the end of Guildford Street where it meets Grays Inn Road. Turn left and you'll see the London Welsh Centre about half way up the block with a Welsh flag flying high outside.
Chancery Lane: Take the northern exit from Chancery Lane tube station and you should find yourself at the southern end of Grays Inn Road. Walk north on the left hand side of the road passing Grays Inn, crossing Theobald's Road, Northington Street, Roger Street and Guildford Street. It is a bit of a walk. On the way you'll pass a large dental centre and a piano shop. After you've crossed Guildford Street you'll see the London Welsh Centre about half way up the block with a Welsh flag flying high outside.
Come straight in ... We'll be upstairs in the bar with Americans in London and Americans Abroad Meetup signs on the table. There are two stairways. You'll see one in the seating area to your left on the ground floor and the other is at the end of the first corridor on your right after you enter the building. Everyone in the centre is very friendly, so if in doubt, please just ask.
... and introduce yourself. I try to keep a look out for new people, but if there are a lot of us at the meetup and we seem engrossed in conversation, please don't be afraid to interrupt and introduce yourself.

Look forward to seeing you there.
