Thanksgiving Day Service
St Paul’s Cathedral
Thursday, November 28, 2013 at 11:00am
The annual Thanksgiving Day Service at St Paul's Cathedral is a non-denominational event organized by the American Church in London.
No tickets are needed for the Thanksgiving Day Service, but you may be required to pass through a metal detector and have your bags searched. Please therefore bring minimal baggage and remove any metal objects from your pockets prior to being checked. Given the high level of security, it is important to arrive at the Cathedral early. Photography in the Cathedral is not permitted. Mobile phones should be switched off.
After the service there is normally an opportunity to see the American Memorial Chapel. Built with funds raised by the British people after World War II, it replaced the bomb-damaged east end of the Cathedral. The Chapel was dedicated by Queen Elizabeth II in 1958. If you have time, it is well-worth staying to have a look round.
The doors open at 10:00 am. Please plan to arrive no later than 10:30 a.m. Entry will be via the west end of the Cathedral.
The nearest underground station is
St Paul's on the Central Line
