Meet other locals to practice prayer, meditation, and devotional singing (bhajans); and to engage in acts of service (seva) in the community. Learn about the teachings and ways of Mata Amritanandamayi Devi (Amma, the "Hugging Saint").
Amma's is not a sectarian mission and this group is open to people of all faiths and cultures! The greatest miracle that takes place in her presence occurs in the hearts of those who come to her – the gentle, gradual awakening of love, compassion and selflessness, an awakening of one’s own inherent divinity.
Amma says, "Lending a helping hand to a neglected soul, feeding the hungry, a compassionate smile towards the sad and dejected, this, is the real service, a manifestation of true Love. We should invoke God's compassion in our own hearts and hands."
In her own life, day after day, Amma offers such a flawless example of how to live selflessly, working with all our heart to serve others. Read more
