Have already been living here for more than 3 years but the Netherlands never fails to surprise me :)
Too many to mention: Long Pura for Indonesian, Divan for Turkish, Me Naam Naan for Thai, Lieve for an amazing waffel dessert....
My mum's chicken soup
i can surprise myself from time to time :)

Thanks for your words of welcome, Naomi. I'll try to make it to the next meet-up. Good luck with everything.
ran out of space...
De Peper at 301 Overtoom and MKZ on Erste Schinkelstraat are both in legal squats and it costs around 5-10 euros a meal with cheap beer. But you can only book on the day and they decide what to cook rather than a proper menu. MKZ is the one where you wash your own dishes
In 2 weeks the veggie group is going to Amnol Indian restaurant on 1st Constantin Huygenstraat. Not veggie only but comes recommended by Northern English people too
Hi Noemi,
Ok so whilst it's still in my mind :-)
The veggie place where they let us have a room to ourselves that was around 25 euros each was vliegende schotel in the jordaan. That was nice food.
De Bolhoed on Prinsengracht was good but they were a bit unhelpful re a group and I was only allowed to book for 6 people.
De Waaghal on Franshalstraat was a bit bland but around 20 euros each and they do accept groups.
Hello Noemi and welcome! Amsterdam is absolutely an inspiring city; I too feel alive each time I am there, so much to see in the way of art. Glad to see you signed up, and I look forward to meeting you in February.
