Talks & Drinks at Byte #3

Hi all,

It's time for the third "talks & drinks" meetup at Byte. Byte Internet has been so kind to offer us their space and provide food and drinks on Wednesday December 4th at their office on De Ruyterkade 139, Amsterdam.

So far, we have the following talks lined up:

• robot game, a Python AI competition – Willem de Groot

• Hosted Continuous Integration with GitHub, Travis CI and Coveralls – Bas Wind

Introduction to Python decorators – Rik van Achterberg

• Solving jigsaw puzzles with Python – Pieter Marres

If you'd like to do a talk, please drop me a line at [masked]. We're still looking for speakers for the February 5th meetup! (http://www.meetup.com/Amsterdam-Python-Meetup-Group/events/153100112/)

Hope to see you all there!

Goodmorning, we've written a Dutch blogpost about the meet-up on the Byte website: http://bit.ly/J4zZeq

Thanks for your visit yesterday! I think it was a great session!!

A request for the next meet-up. If you cannot make it, please change your RSVP into 'no'. Then you give people on the waiting list a change to come in stead of you. We have room for 40 people and we had 14 people on the waiting list, but "only" 30 people have visited the meet-up...

Or if robotics is more your thing, Udacity has two courses about AI (CS373 and CS271) from Sebastian Thrun, who helped built Google's self-driving car (https://www.udacity.co...) and Peter Norvig, Google's director of Research.
I can also recommend Norvig course Design of Computer Programs (CS212), if only because he writes such elagant Python, its almost like reading poetry!

I've added Willem's talk to the list. Most likely there will be a talk about decorators as well. Will update asap!

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
