Just a short mail to update you on the 'Dam Runners - and an invite to send feedback.
Shortly before my 1st holiday in 2 years (I've just returned), I've taken over this group from Martin, who's doing some amazing trip through Europe. As it turns out, Martin's been paying for our MeetUp: thanks for a great year, Martin! Hope to see you on your visits back to Amsterdam.
At the moment we've got 4 runs a week: Tues, Wednes, Thurs and Saturdays. With the (half) marathon coming up October 16, there's two groups at Saturdays: 9am (longer distance, 10k an hour) and 10 am (for each and everyone). The invites have been 'on repetition' lately, I will update those.
As far as I know (I don't run on Wednesdays), both the Tues and Wednesday groups are a sure thing, one starting at 6.30 pm, the other at 7pm. The Thursday group... well, has there ever been one? ;-) Me, I've never been able to make it on Thursdays due to work.
My plan's to continue with all of the above mentioned groups. Please let me know if you...
* have suggestions with regards to other days / times to meet up
* would prefer other places to meet up (rather than the Vondelpark)
* have other suggestions - perhaps you're a pro in interval training, or a yoga teacher who can teach us how to stretch, perhaps you know of a nice run we could enter, etc.
* would be interested in planning a weekly or monthly silent run (call it meditative, call it ideal if you enjoy listening to podcasts / books whilst running)
Goal is to make sure the 'Dam Runners is a place for every kind of runner. E.g. the interval training is perfect for all levels, as you use every 5th minute to walk back to the ones who are not as fast.
