What kinds of things do you design?

Mostly work on data-sharing and integration, typically quite removed from direct user-facing concerns. Am therefore interested in the impact of data-driven UI on the design process.

Since when are you active in the field of User Experience? (YYYY)

If I have to think about it, I guess the answer is 'I'm not, really'? Have been on the periphery since beginning Web work mid-90s, but can't claim it's really my field.

Introduction

I work on applied Web standards, most recently in the areas of television, digital libraries and social network interoperability. I helped start W3C's Semantic Web initiative and continue to work with various RDF-based approaches to taxonomy sharing.
