Ruby Hack Night at TRUE

On Tuesday, November the 20th we're having our Ruby Hack Night at TRUE (Coöperatiehof 16). We'll start at 19:00 and our event host TRUE will provide us with food and drinks!

So, what to do on a Ruby Hack Night?

Work on your own project
So you have this project you've been working on, but you could use some fresh insights, some help with the nasty regex or a chat about going with a relational or document based database for your use case? Ask others to team up and make awesomeness.

Work on open-source
Basically every open-source project needs contributors. Found a bug in that gem you use every day? Go at it solo or in a group and tackle those GitHub issues. Help out the international community and be on your way to become a Ruby Hero! If you don't know where to start, ask more experienced contributors to join.

Help out others
Don't know what to work on? Chances are someone wants to work on any of the above. Help them out with your expertise. A fresh pair of eyes always helps, even if you're a novice Rubyist, and you may learn something from it.
We're hoping to attract some inexperienced Rubyists too, like past RailsGirls participants. Help them in getting their questions answered, supporting and fostering our local community.

Let us know what you plan to do!
We're not using a rigid schedule, but we would like to know what you plan to do at the Hack Night (the RSVP form has a field for that). You don't have to be too specific; we're using this to allocate desks, etc. It's totally fine to come up with something on the spot too and you will have a chance to introduce yourself and your project at our stand-up at 19:10 sharp.

There's space for a maximum of 40 people (first come, first serve)! There will be a waiting list, so please change your status to "not going" if you change your mind. It will enable someone else to attend. Be nice (we believe we're entitled to withhold access to future events if you don't play along)!

I'm going to be a bit late. Public transport in Rotterdam leaves some to be desired.
