Amsterdam UX Message Board › Are you going to Amsterdam UX this evening?
Good day, dear UX'er!
We would have tonight a great talk from Martijn van Loon and Jacco Nieuwland about measuring UX and persuading stakeholders. But also we have some give aways! We're still deciding with our sponsors if it would be two tickets for the ModUX conference (18-20 September, Amsterdm www.moduxcon.com) or a book from O'Reiily "Microinteractions" by Dan Saffer (nice review of it is here http://scottberkun.co.... If you interested in any of them, please perform small task.
As a designers in soul we sometimes have these thoughts "he, this could be solved so easily" or "this is no problem, it's opportunity!" Please, think of one small usual problem you've encountered today. Grumpy neighbour? Empty tire? Forgot something? Bored on the bus stop? So, take 10 to 30 min to think how it could be solved with some kind of service or application. It should be just idea, draft (please don't Google in Internet, but inside your mind only). And present us a problem and a solution: some UI's or just text description.
Points of judging: simple, smart, real-life problem. Doesn't matter if you backend-developer or HR you're vry welcome to have this attitude and take part in the contest! Paper and pens would be available at the meeting place, we would listen to all the presentations in separate room half an hour after the end of main presentation (around 21.00). Winners would be chosen by voting.
Important! Our hosts asked us to define how many people would come. So please, if you see you can't make it or your plans have already been changed, un-RCVP on the web-site. I would need to shut down a waiting list at 13.00 so please give a chance people there to attend the meeting!
Looking forward to see you all this evening!
