Experiments in Truth

This location is shown only to members

As a follower in the Way of Jesus my main goal for spiritual formation has always been to more closely resemble the One I follow.  This learning lab explores how making small or large changes in the physical, relational, emotional, and other dimensions of our lives can effect and transform us.  What happens spiritually when I change how I spend my time?  What I eat?  The media I consume?  How I use my money?  Who I spend my time with?

What is one thing I could do in the next 40 days that would change my life forever?

For those of us who desire greater wholeness and love in our lives, this practical workshop seeks to deal with the disparity we often feel between how we want to live and how we actually live. This year, rather than creating New Year's Resolutions that quickly fall away, we seek to support one another in integrating new practices and eliminating old habits.

Many participants have said that this is one of the most transformational experiences they have ever had.

By the end of Experiments in Truth you will:

  • have completed a 40 day "experiment in truth" addressing self-selected key life growth areas.
  • share mutual support and encouragement with a small group of fellow participants.
  • created and learned to maintain a "personal growth plan" where you set goals and track the progress of your growth in various life dimensions.

I have temporarily scheduled this MeetUp for every day of the week to find out what day works best for the greatest number of participants. When you RSVP you will be asked what  days of the week fit your schedule. I will cancel the six days of the week that get the fewest RSVP's by Christmas. The day of the week that gets the most RSVP's will be the weekly meeting night for the following six weeks of this experiment.

Meditation on the intersection of sacred texts and the majesty of creation. Very awe inspiring.

It was a valuable and very personal, intimate time in a safe place with safe people. There was nothing heavy-handed about it, rather a time that allowed for the kind of reflection needed for deep-seated change. I intend to continue on with the study/contemplation of Celtic prayers.
